The Safety Fieldbox from Schmersal
The Safety Fieldbox is suitable for simple Plug & Play installation of up to eight safety switchgear devices. Incremental Encoders: The most commonly used type of encoder, it is a type of rotary encoder that generates a series of electrical pulses as the encoder shaft is rotated. The pulses measure the rotational position, speed and direction of the shaft.

Absolute Encoders: Is a type of rotary encoder that provides absolute position information for the shaft or axis to which it is attached. Absolute encoders provide a unique code or digital word that represents the absolute position of the encoder at any given moment.

Optical Encoders: A device that converts motion or position into a digital signal by detecting changes in light. It typically consists of a rotating disc that has evenly spaced slots or markings on it, as the disc rotates, the light source shines through the slots or markings and the sensor detects the changes in light intensity which are then converted into electrical signals. These signals are then processed to determine the speed, direction, and position of the rotating disc.

Why Stainless?
BUILT TO LAST:
In areas where corrosion is a concern, stainless steel is often the choice. Stainless steel has a much greater resistance to rust and corrosion than standard carbon steels and greater resistance than coated steels such as hot dip galvanized or zinc plated. The life of stainless steel in a corrosive environment can be 10 to 20 times, or more, longer than carbon steels or iron.

EASY TO INSTALL:
Gibson Stainless offers threaded rigid conduit and fittings which eliminate extensive installation procedures. These conduit systems can be installed using ordinary hand tools and require very little maintenance or repair.
